Servant-hood
Written by: Ahava July 4th, 2008
It is not easy having a clear perception of all that is around you. How does God expect a mere human to constantly see with His discernment? Do you know or can you understand how this weighs upon the heart of a mere human?
Sometimes I take a deep breath and let out a long sigh. Yet, I wouldn’t want to live without this discernment. It attends to our walk in life so we may avoid the snags and walk accordingly. Still it is not easy.
Do you know what it feels like to see right into the heart of man? That’s where the training of the Holy Spirit comes in. We must be well trained not to become emotionally involved with what we see and know through discernment.
We must be humble and bow our heads in thankfulness to our God for what He shows us and at the same time pray that it will not take hold of our own emotions. We must speak what God wants us to speak and then be silent. We must allow room for the working of the Holy Spirit one on one with each individual.
Servant of God, do you find yourself alone most of the time? You know there are people who would welcome your presence yet the restraint of God upon your life keeps you from going out among them to socialize. It seems as though you are kept hidden away.
Everyday you leave home to go out among them and God steps out with you. At the end of the day you return home and the presence of the Lord fills your house. This is God’s way of telling you that “He is home also”.
To the servant of God who bears the requirement of dwelling in the tent of separation it is not easy. People say, that would be wonderful to live in the manifested presence of God. The manifestation is not at the will of the servant. The manifestation is by the will of the Lord. The will of the servant must stay submitted to the Holy Spirit in order for the ground to constantly be prepared for the entering of the Lord. It is extremely difficult and it carries a high accountability.
The servant’s requirements are extremely high. There is a separation and consecration required that can be fulfilled only by staying filled with the word of God. The servant must keep in prayer in order to maintain this lifestyle and then must apply absolute obedience to the written word and spoken direction of the Holy Spirit.
It’s a life within a life. The servant dwells in a 48 hour day.
24 hours in the natural with the discernment of the spirit active 24 hours in the spirit.
The 24 hours they live in the natural and the same 24 hours they are alive in the spirit within them.
That’s 24 hours in the natural and 24 hours in the spirit at the same time.
The servant walks in a 48 hour day.
You find yourself in an unusual realm. You’re hungry and go out to have something to eat. That’s all it is, its dinner in the natural realm. You leave your home to dine out in a restaurant. A stranger leaves his table, walks over to you and bears his soul without you ever saying a word. The unction of the Holy Spirit rises up within you and you speak the voice of God on his behalf. He is instantly transformed from darkness to light right in front on you. He humbly walks away. Right there you are dwelling in a 48 hour day, natural and spirit taking place at the same time. You’ve just lived an hour in the natural and in the spirit at the same time.
You eat your meal and return home. As you sit in your house, the manifested presence of God dwells among you. You will read, write, pray, worship or just rest. You retire at night with the presence of God hovering over you and your sleep is sweet. You awaken to begin a new day with your steps ordered by the Lord.
You find yourself in an unusual realm. You step outside your office for some fresh air. There is a custodian doing his job. He looks at you and at the same time somehow a question is born within his heart and he is drawn to you. He asks you his question; you release the voice of God to him through your spoken words. The custodian takes your hand and bows his head right there on the street and prays the prayer of salvation. You see the transformation from darkness to light take place right in front of you. Right there you are dwelling in a 48 hour day, natural and spirit taking place at the same time. You just lived an hour in the natural and in the spirit at the same time.
To those who have ears to hear, the servants of God have a 48 hour day.
It’s a dual day – in spirit and in natural.
He, who has ears to hear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the servants of God:
I know of your sacrifice says the Lord. I know there are times when you feel that you just want to walk away and go back to a day when it was a life of living for yourself. At times you get frustrated and I’ve watched your struggle to stay separated. I also know the times when you don’t feel like reading or praying, but you do so out of your love and obedience for me. I understand what it feels like to be the giver and not the receiver. I am the Giver of Life.
Remember the faces of all the people that were delivered through your words, which was my voice spoken through you. Remember all the deliverance that took place and how many have achieved to enter My will for their life because of your sacrifice to stay separated unto me.
There are many voices calling out to them. There are many voices instructing them. They are calling out wrongly and instructing them incorrectly. That is why you are so important to be my voice among the people. I am the Lord that heals them through the voice of my spirit spoken through your words.
The closer you walk with me, the deeper the anointing is developed. Through your sacrifice to live a life of consecration I am able to fill you more and more of me so when you go out among them they will encounter me. They will know the truth and the truth will set them free, because they have met Me through your servant-hood.
1 Chronicles 28:20
Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.
