Seconds

Your present is right now.
In another second, that same present becomes your past.
Our lives consist in seconds.

Seconds of decisions – seconds of opportunity. In a second, you can regret for the rest of your life not speaking up or taking a certain action.
 
Value Yourself:
Value means the worth in usefulness and importance. You are important to God.
He valued you so much that He went to Calvary for you alone. You have quality placed within you. You are valuable.
 
Psalms 8: 3-6:
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him a ruler over the works of your hands and you put everything “under his feet”
 
You are held in such high esteem by God that He created you in His own image. When God breathes His spirit into you, He created you with great importance and purpose. He endowed you with admirable qualities and characteristics.
 
You conceived a desire within your spirit. It’s up to you to bring it to birth. God has given you ability, a gift, a talent. This ability has been given to you from God’s spirit directly into your spirit. Ask yourself, what lies within me that I’ve never taken the time to develop for myself? What desire lies within you?
 
God has placed a purpose within each and every one of us. It is your gift, your talent, given to you directly from God, our Father. Are you a parent? As a father, when you give your child a gift, do you not rejoice when you see your child making good use of your gift? Do you not say it was worth the cost?
 
How much more does God rejoice in you as you make the effort to develop and use the gift He has placed within you?
 
Take some time to think for yourself. Shut out all the other voices calling their demands upon you. Get silent, be still with God. What do you hear still beating within your heart? What is that desire still speaking to you? What is that desire within the core of your heart? What is that desire that has never gone away but continues to surface year after year? 
 
Do not place it on hold any longer.
Pay attention to your God given calling. Begin to apply it into your everyday routine. Make room for your gifts and allow God to rejoice over you.
 
Along with gifts comes purpose.
It could be people, places or a certain thing that needs your attention.
 
Remember, time goes by, second by second.
Add all those seconds together and your lifetime is completed.
