LOVE
Written by: Ahava

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. Love NEVER fails.

Malachi 3:6
I the Lord do not change.

Romans 5:8
God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.

John 13:34
A new command I give you. Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

First John 4:16
God is love.

What did God intend for marriage? He intended His love to be shed aboard in our hearts for one another. Why did He intend this? So the true state of marriage may continue to grow and develop into the fulfillment of its purpose.

That fulfillment is life long companionship which was His purpose for man’s creation from the very beginning. It is not good for man to be alone, God created him a helpmate, one suitable for his lifestyle and who will compliment him in his walk of life.

To husband or wife, what attracted you to your spouse the first time you saw one another? Why did you choose to marry this person? What was it about one another that made you fall in love?

Look at yourself today? Are you more in love now than before you were married?
If not, you have fallen out of the grace provided for marriage and must begin to walk back into the divine provision that God has made for the holiness of marriage. The scriptures above are some of the divine provisions.

1) Love always protects the feelings and emotions of our spouses.

2) Love is an active demonstration toward one another.
Do you do the same things for one another as you did before you were married?

3) You are not asked to love one another, you are commanded. Why?
Because God knows the plan of the enemy to steal, kill and destroy the marriage.
When he destroys the marriage, it brings harm to the children.

She was the love of his life. He never forgot her.
No matter if he was near or far, he never neglected his love for her.

He never changed on her. He remained the same from the very first day they met.
Even when he was thousands of miles away, there was never an absence between them. When he was thousands of miles away, there would always be a letter or a card in her mailbox or flowers delivered on the doorstep. He never allowed his presence to be removed from her even with the distance of thousands of miles between them.

When they first met, they spent hours talking to one another. That’s what happens when you fall in love. She loved the sound of his voice. She could listen to that sound forever. He loved the color of her eyes. He could gaze into them forever.

They would cook dinner together, talking about their day then sit down and enjoy their meal together. They planted a garden together. He would trim the rose trees and she would gather the discarded flowers alongside of him. He didn’t need her to help him; he just wanted her close to him. It didn’t feel right not to be alongside of one another. Why?  Because they were one.

He couldn’t sleep without her beside him. She couldn’t sleep without him beside her. You see, they were one.

There is such a thing as true love and a trustworthy marriage. God is love and those who love one another as God loves us, enjoy the benefits of living in this sweet fragrance of love.

Then in one second – her life changed forever.
She is no longer one – She is half.
Half is never whole because God did not create us to be half.

At the same time she lost her dad and her husband.
At the same time she was no longer a daughter or a wife.

For the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy.
Do not let him steal from you the love that you have for one another.
It is not enough to know you love each other; you must demonstrate it toward each other. If you don’t demonstrate it – each may feel forgotten.

She was loved to the fullest by her father. Her dad cherished her and spent his life loving his family. She was his daughter and from the time of her birth to the day her dad died, she experienced unconditional demonstrated love from her father.
Every daughter deserves to have that kind of love from her father.

This is one reason those who know her can see the integrity in her character.
Her father was a man of integrity, honor and character. When she married, she married a man just like daddy.

When someone fell in love with her, he loved her as God loves us. Even though she suffered great loss, there are no regrets because she is one person who was truly loved.

Take time to think these things over. You are a husband and a father. You are a wife and a mother. Your children will grow into whatever you are producing in your home. When your daughters grow up they will be drawn to whatever type of man they saw with their mother because that is what is familiar to them. When your sons grow up they will be drawn to whatever type of woman they saw with their father because that is familiar to them.

There is no greater blessing than a Godly husband and father.
There is no greater blessing than a Godly woman and mother.
There is no greater privilege than a man and woman who served and honored their country. These three factors set the stage for every decision and direction of our children’s lives.

Children learn by your words but they develop by your behavior.

Her love never forgot her. No matter at home or thousands of miles away,
he demonstrated his love. If he could do it for her, then every other man and woman can do it for their spouses also.

She would give up her life for one hour with her dad. She would give up her life to hear her beloved husband sing his love song just one more time.

You don’t have to give up anything; your lovely wife or handsome husband is still beside you. No one knows what the next second will bring. Demonstrate your love for one another.
