Resist  
Resisting the enemy is not just from temptation that is toward your personal life. It is resisting all that is contrary that comes your way. When you hear that negative report about yourself or someone is doing something against you, resist allowing it to have any affect over you. Resist reacting to it. Resist speaking concerning it. Give it no place in you. (meaining, give it no attention)

The bible says: “Give no place to the Devil.” Let his assignments find no assistance through you. Stay on your course. By this you will resist the assignment and it will not prosper over you. Submit to God and stay close to Him and walk only according to His purposes for your life. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:17)
 
Stand  
To remain without disturbance.
No reaction to the assignment in word, thought or deed.
To remain unchanged in heart, mind and direction.
To keep situated and placed.
To walk according to the purpose, unmovable, remaining intact and valid.
To take up and keep to an attitude, confession and state of heart.
Hold to a particular course.
To resist and withstand every contrary destructive word and action against the purpose of God for your individual life. 

To stand is to endure. To stand is to undergo. To stand is to tolerate all that it takes to achieve your purpose, your goal. To stand is to represent the vision within your heart, right now through your words and behavior. All you say and do is to line up with who you are within and where you destiny is taking you. The final destination will prove valid, satisfactory and durable unto the fullness of time.

Every God given purpose for your life is true if you will stand firm in your convictions.

God is for you. No one can defeat you except yourself.
