Daddy
 
I will never see his face again, nor hear the sound of his voice.
Did I spend enough time with him? It’s too late to make that choice.
 
I’ll never take a walk with him or listen to another story.
But he is not left alone; he now walks with Jesus in glory.
 
I’ll never see him park his car or hear the sound of his laugh.
I’ll never see him roll his spaghetti and sit there and offer me half.
 
I’ll never see him in the backyard; checking the water in the pool.
This he did with each new day to keep his family cool.
 
I’ll never see him on the porch as I walk by each day and night.
Somehow the world feels empty; something just doesn’t feel right.
 
I remember him walking up the street with his little cap on his head.
Even though he is no longer here, in my memory he’ll never be dead.
 
When death comes knocking at the door of those we dearly love.
Remember its just the earth’s time ending, he is now alive above.
 
You’ll see him there when your time comes, waiting at the gates above.
So remember he’s not really gone, He’s with the Son of Love.

He will swallow up death; He will abolish death forever. The Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the reproach of His people He will take away from off the earth. For the Lord has spoken it.

Revelation 7:16-17
Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst.  The sun will not beat upon them nor any scorching heat. For the lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
 
Revelation 21:4&5
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
